During the early morning hours of August 12, 2024, a beautiful auroral display joined the peak of the Perseid meteor shower, offering a very rare treat. The streaks in this time-lapse video are airplanes, not meteors, but I did manage to catch a few Perseids shooting through the aurora, as shown in the next few images.
