Aurora over Lake Champlain   HOME INDEX BACK NEXT

One day earlier, a coronal mass ejection from the Sun reached the Earth, producing nice auroral displays in some parts of the northern US. It was cloudy over Lake Champlain that night, but on this following night a faint green aurora was still visible.

This image was taken from St. Albans Bay, VT. The brightness on the horizon is skyglow from Montreal.
