Lepus, the hare, is not a well-known constellation, but it is easy to find just below the feet of Orion. The location of its one Messier object, the globular cluster M79, is shown on the rollover image. Also shown is the location of the very red varaible star, R Leporis, sometimes called Hind's Crimson Star.
