Gamma Leonis galaxy group. This group of four galaxies is located about 2 degrees north of Gamma Leonis in the sickle portion of the constellation Leo. These galaxies display a great variety of shapes. From left to right, NGC 3193 is an elliptical galaxy with a bright center and a diffuse surround. NGC 3190 is a spiral galaxy seen nearly edge-on, with a broad dust lane. NGC 3187 has a distinct "S" shape. NGC 3185 has a ring shape and a large central bar.
Rolling over the image gives the galaxies' labels and magnitudes, and arrows point to three other, very dim galaxies.
