This portion of the Veil Nebula is about 3 degrees east of the other main section (NGC 6960). Although it is a dim target for visual observing, with a large aperture under dark skies, a great deal of structural detail can be seen.

Image details: Mosaic of 3 images (based on 16 and 18 exposures, respectively, of 150 seconds at ISO 1600) taken with a Canon 400D camera through a Meade 12” telescope at f/6.8.
