Star-hop chart

This globular cluster must be one of the most distant objects in our Milky Way Galaxy that can be seen with amateur telescopes. Because the disk of our galaxy is about 100,000 light years across, the estimated distance of NGC 7006 indicates that it is far off in the halo of the galaxy.
