Star-hop chart
This is an emission nebula, glowing with the light of ionized hydrogen. The nebula is large and dim with a low surface brightness, and it can be a challenge to find it. The brightest portions of the nebula form a C shape around a dark nebula in the center, so it can be visualized as the entrance to a cave.
