This aurora appeared as a pale green curtain of light in the northern sky on the shore of Lake Champlain.
This was the first time I had a chance to take a picture of an aurora, and I was pleased with the results.
Note that in the center of this image there is a faint "bulls eye" pattern of concentric circles. This is apparently a result of the narrow bandwidths of the auroral light, and it appears in other pictures of auroras I took with this camera. Another example can be seen here.
